Over 15 Years of Teaching
Dr Dothinka Ranamuka is the founder of 3D Maths Academy. He had his PhD from the University of Wollongong, Australia specializing in Electric Power Distribution System modeling, analysis, optimization, and control. He loves Mathematics and the applications of Maths.
Once his little son came to him and asked for Maths, he began to think about a new way of teaching him Maths. On one beautiful day in beautiful Wollongong beach with his son, the fundamental idea of the new way of teaching interfaced with his mind.
He realized that both Math problems and the solutions are in Space.
He found that if we can train kids with carefully and appropriately selected materials and activities for 3D, the answers for all the Maths problems can easily be grabbed from Space.
The three Dimensions (3D) are:
– Developing the skills of maintaining self-discipline
– Developing the skills of training the human mind for in-depth concentration
– Developing the skills of enhancing thinking skills
He then studied the multiple intelligences theory and different learning behaviors beyond the conventional and linear teaching methods. Accordingly, he trialed the Three-Dimensional (3D) Teaching Strategy with his son and his few friends. With all the success stories, now he is willing to share it with All Australian Kids!
